There are twenty seven slabs carved which have the longest sanskrit inscription in India written on it. These slabs tell the story and rich history of the State of Mewar.
Rich in natural resources, like other cities of Rajasthan, Rajsamand is mainly agriculture based. There is a wide variety of stones supplied from Rajsamand. The main supplies are that of marble and granite. The two mines Dariba and Jawar provide Ores for zinc, manganese and silver.
